Worst train-wreck of a restaurant in Little Rock. Food, service and sanitation absolutely horrific, and they haven't paid their bills... Arrived for lunch at 11:15, several angry-looking people were already sitting in, and outside, Leo's. We found a spot and a doofus bald fat guy with gross brown teeth leered at us and dropped off menus. We asked for some iced teas, a hummus appetizer and a gyros. 11:20 - Nothing has happened as far as our food, but an aging Lexus has arrived in the parking lot. The staff swarms the trunk of the car and begins pulling groceries from it. Tomatoes, boxes of frozen fries, boxes of FROZEN PRE-SLICED GYROS, etc. I gather "Leo" is the ancient little white guy who has come bearing ingredients. The ownership at Leo's has defaulted on their credit accounts with their food purveyors, and they are buying food at the grocery store. Bad news, end times, etc. Take the hint. 11:50 - Ice cold, nasty hummus is produced. A couple at another table has left. The tables, seats, and entire outdoor eating area are covered in filth. The cooks repeatedly leave the restaurant, walk around to the dumpsters, open the disgusting wooden gate, and get food from an outdoor cooler. wtf. I can't imagine that hand-washing is a priority among this group. 12:15 - No gyros yet, though the server left and wandered down the street about ten minutes ago. I overhear a customer complaining, and a cook yells back at him that they "have to get out all the to-go orders first." 12:40 - The WORST Greek food imaginable appears. Pre-sliced reheated gyros is horrific. Pita is straight from an old bag, tzatziki sauce is out of a tub. The entire plate is sad and pathetic, just like Leo's. 1:05 - No server has appeared in 90 minutes, I leave $20 on the table and depart without receiving a check, never to return again. If you eat at Leo's, something is wrong with you.

Took a visiting out-of-state family member and the tribe to dinner at Leo's this past Saturday. Amazingly, we were ahead of the dinner rush and had no problem getting two adjoining tables for our group. Leo's small size and little patio remind us of our favorite pita stand on Crete in the small village of Gournes. Most of the group ordered just the gyro ($5.95) and two ordered the gyro platter ($8.95) The platter comes with a gyro, enough meat to make another one or two gyros, and patates tiganites (fries). You can substitute a Greek salad for the fries, which one person did. We found the prices at Leo's to be less than at other Greek venues around Little Rock and felt we received good value. In addition to Greek food, Leo's serves a mean Frito pie with lots of Fritos, chili and cheese. Bring someone to share with. As mentioned by previous reviewers, Leo's is a Pulaski Heights institution and you haven't truly experienced Little Rock if you have never ever eaten here. Leo's is owned by a warm friendly Argentine couple whom you'll likely meet on weekdays. The owner formerly managed the kitchen at beloved Little Rock landmark Casa Bonita. You often find former Casa Bonita staff working and eating at Leo's.

This place has been here forever! Leo's is not a "hole in wall" in the meaning of a dive joint it's an institution They were doin a hawaiian burger back in the day- long before it was added to just about every chain restaurant....Some twenty years I have been goin here and yes the gyros are great- it's good for hillcrest to have something like this around-an independent place that is small but homey. totally love this place- maybe bc it's so steeped in my memory - but the food is upper tier compared to a fast food joint--and on a hot day it's great to sit outside and have a malted!

Well this is a cool little nook! I've been driving by here for months and always said "Oh yeah, that place!" Well, for my latest brunch I finally actually stopped in. And I'm glad I did! So - came in with a group of three, for brunch, availed ourselves on the coffee, the big cups of water, and the $2.50 mimosas. And, of course, we rolled in hungry, so we tried some of the breakfast too. Everything was spot-on, exactly what you hope for in a brunch. It was spot-on exactly what a brunch should be: hash browns, just a little bit greasy. Biscuits, crumbly on the outside, steaming on the inside, with gravy. One of us at the table got one of each of the meat options - the sausage was nicely cooked and came out hot, the ham was a satisfying slab (not too dry), and the bacon was super-crispy. Nothing was spectacular, but everything was solid and left nothing wanting, I'd gladly recommend it! This one gets two extra bonus points from me - one for being dog-friendly, with a sticker in the window saying so and everything! And the other for being within walking distance, but that's not a fair one ;)

I enjoyed eating brunch here. 2.50 mimosas helped. The food was good but not the best but it wasn't bad either. We were seated quickly and our server was cheerful. The food came quickly and wasn't bad at all. But like I said wasn't amazing either. I will defiantly be going back.

Always a classic day-after-drinking brunch place. Great atmosphere and tasty food... I always come by when I visit LR and I'm never disappointed in the gyros. I gave it a 4/5 though because it's not your upscale dining place and food is a bit greasy- but for me it's always just what I need.

I love this place! I go for lunch every chance I get...although I have only tried the Gyro sandwich myself...I have seen other customers with over flowing plates of great looking food too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good, greasy, messy gyro!

Reasonably priced food with fast and efficient service. Their gyros are deeelicious if you get meat! The falafel is also pretty tasty!

I have been eating at the various places that serve Gyro's during my summer in Little Rock and this is one that I will definetly be back to. I had the 8.99 Gyro platter and had to ask for a 2nd Pita. It contained that much meat. Only downside was they only served it with onions, tomatos and sauce. The lamb was cut very thick and one piece was even close to a foot long. This place had the best tasting meat up to this point. The service was a little lacking. I sat with an empty water cup at the edge of the table and never refilled. With 2 waitresses and only about a dozen tables there is no reason for this. They dont bring a check to your table. Instead you go to the register and tell them what you have and they find your ticket and ring you up. I will be back later this week with some coworkers.

I've passed this place so many times and always thought how cute it looked and how I need to stop by and try it sometime. I finally had the chance to actually stop in and do just that and was excited when I learned they served falafel - I can't name many other places in Little Rock that do off the top of my head. It was kind of dry since I ordered without the sauce and used my leftover hummus from my appetizer instead, but that's kind of on me I'll admit. However, I've had better falafel and hummus at other places, and the service was fairly slow, but I would probably go back if I was in the area and wanted something cheap. Also, its dog-friendly policy meant I got to see a family who let their dog sit at the table like a person which was the highlight of my experience/whole life.

Awesome food! The owners come out and check on us multiple times when we're there & the food is always delicious. The new owners have made a few good updates, too! Side note: Sunday Brunch=Perfect Place

This is straight up the best Greek food I have ever had. I came here while on business in Little Rock, and I always to seek out a local restaurant to try. This one was GREAT!! The gyro was fabulous, and there's more than enough to feed one person. The location is great, and the staff is very friendly. Try it!!

I heard about this place from local-celebrity writer John Brummet. Sounded like he counts on them for a hearty breakfast. I sought Leo's for a hearty cheeseburger and got exactly what I wanted. My husband had a gyro pita platter thing. We both thoroughly enjoyed our fast, affordable meals. Casual, quaint atmosphere. Varied menu. Adorable waitress. I think little spot would be dreamy for a weeknight, casual date or even a casual first date. It's kind of a charming little hole-in-the-wall, but in the middle of a small parking lot. You could also take your parents there. I also think it would be OK for kids.

Smelled like they wiped the tables with a urine soaked wash cloth. Also, the waitress seemed stoned, wasn't friendly and was stuffing her face behind the counter. After she put visine in her eyes. Really???

The other 11 reviews were all written before Leo's was sold and new owners took over. So this is the first review of the new Leo's. Had the gyros platter with a Greek salad. Big strike right off the bat. The olives on the salad were canned pre-sliced black olives. On the up side, the dressing was not as strong and over-whelming as at many places. Not a great salad, but not a bust either. The platter arrives with the pita bread to the side, a pile of meat, a pile of fresh onions and diced tomatoes and a cup of taziki. Personally I prefer this so I can shape it as I like. Normally I end up pulling several strips of meat off and eating them outside the sandwich. No need at Leo's. The gyro meat nicely split the difference between places that have so much spice that the meat flavor is completely gone and those that apparently have no spices in the kitchen. The meat is sliced off the roll and then cooked on the griddle. No complaint from me because I like gyro meat to be crispy on the edge and tender in the middle and they hit that perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. We arrived right at the start of lunch and the kitchen apparently hadn't finished prep because it took a fairly long time to receive our food but once our food arrived it began arriving pretty quickly for those who arrived later. Because they got faster, I suspect it was a prep issue. They touted the chocolate cake as addictive. I apparently don't have an addictive personality because I didn't think it was anything special although it was remarkably moist. I'll skip the cake next time but otherwise enjoyed the food.

Service is horrible. Waitress is stoned out of her mind. New owner needs to get a handle.

The only redeeming feature about this place is that it is dog friendly. Possibly the worst service ever. I arrived at 11:55am and didn't leave until 1pm, not because I was having such a good time but because it took that long to get my food. I asked if they had tomato juice and she said we have some for the gazpacho. I took a couple of sips and realized that the tanginess I tasted was really fermentation. I really wanted breakfast but had misread a review and didn't realize that on weekdays breakfast is over at 11am. That took awhile. Then I looked for something with chicken but that was a no go. Now I'm getting concerned because I have a long drive ahead of my and I really want to get going. I figured Leo's chili would be the fastest thing as it would be already made. Finally the waitress came back and took my order. I waited and waited. Finally saw the waitress again and asked, "how's my chili coming?" She said, "the bowl broke." Another twenty minutes went by and finally the chili arrived -- lukewarm, at least on the top. I stirred it and the bottom was appropriately hot, meaning that it had been sitting on a counter for all that time. There were two wait staff and it wasn't that busy. Unforgiveable. Cross-posted to Bring Fido.

I tried the gyro platter, the sampler and the bahklava. They were all ok, certainly not the best I've tried. Considering their location, hours opened, and price, I would give them 3 1/2 stars but since I cant, I give them 3 stars.

Leo's is good for a gyro in a pinch, but that's really about it. Prices are fairly high, and the rest of the food is not very good. The service is beyond slow, but the owner and other working are quite nice. If you call ahead, you can negate the wait.

Good, authentic Greek food nestled in Hillcrest. Tiny establishment, yet big on flavor. The chicken gyros are fresh and delicious. Good hummus, but not the best I have ever had. Prices are a little steep, but not horrible.

Such a shame!! We've been going to Leo's for 15 years and it has always had excellent food and service. Upon our most recent visit I learned that the restaurant had been sold and they didn't get any of the original recipes. Well it shows! The hummus had always been a favorite and it is now terrible and tasteless. Bland grit! The tazeki sauce's flavor had changed completely and was overpowered with black pepper. Leo's has been a Little Rock institution for so long, so tragic to see it come to this!

The Gyros are excellent! Tiny-- I wouldn't have my birthday party there, but I would definitely cram in for some good food.

Great hole in the wall. Owned by a cute, old Greek couple so this place is legit. It's small, so do not take a big group. Great dishes are gyros, falafel and Greek salad. But the best kept secret is their home made Greek salad dressing. The best I ever had and I'm a traveled foodie. I've been trying to talk the owner into teaching me how to make this dressing. Slowly he is giving me tips. One day I will have the whole recipe...try Leo's, you will love it.

Went here for my first time and got a chicken gyro to go. When I started eating it, it tasted good, then I noticed the chicken was raw inside. I drove back and they were happy to refund my money. But, I am not sure that I would try this place again.

Great food, good price. A little hole in the wall (watch your head) with good tasting greek fare but not much seating. The gyros, both chicken and beef/lamb, are great, as is the moussaka. The onion rings and french fries leave a little to desire though. The desert case is a treat as well, with cookies and baklava among the choices.
